Windridge is owned and operated by Jeffrey Howe and Andy Guercio. Jeff started Windridge in 1989 while attending Virginia Tech and earning his degree in horticulture. Andy moved to the Charlottesville area in 1992 and invested in Windridge. The company has continually evolved over the years and  our combined years of experience and dedication to providing a high quality product to our clients have made Windridge one of the premier hardscape and landscape contractors in central Virginia.

Personnel bios

Jeff Howe is the president and founder of Windridge Landscaping. He was born and raised in the Charlottesville area and now lives in Afton, VA with his wife Christy Howe and their two children. He attended Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, VA and received his Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1993. Jeff is the chief estimator and salesman for Windridge, and has been working in the industry since his teenage years in the 1980’s. Jeff is a certified landscape professional through PLANET and is a certified horticulturalist through the VNLA.

Andy Guercio is the vice president of Windridge. He is originally from Maryland and now lives with his wife and two children on Trulily Farm in Free Union, VA. He attended Mount Saint Joseph’s College in Baltimore for high school and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of New Hampshire in 1991. Andy is the project manager, and coordinates and supervises both commercial and residential projects, and has also been working in the industry since the mid-1980’s. Andy is a certified paver installer through ICPI and a certified horticulturalist through the VNLA. (Yvonne: I just took the exam for the VNLA certification and I am waiting for the results).

Christy Howe is the Treasurer and office manager for Windridge. She hails from Annapolis, MD and lives in Afton, VA with her husband Jeff and two children. Christy wears many hats at Windridge including, but not limited to, billing, bookkeeping, scheduling, budgeting and generally keeping the office running smoothly. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in 1990.

Jeff Thompson has been working with Windridge since 1996 and is the head foreman for all types of residential and commercial projects. He lives in Charlottesville with his wife and two children. Jeff graduated from Albemarle High School in 1993 and is a certified paver installer through ICPI and a certified retaining wall installer though the NCMA. Over the years Jeff has become one of the best in the area at installing Redi Rock and segmental block walls, and paver patios, driveways and walkways. He is also fluent in Spanish.

Paul Clarke is Windridge’s shop manager, mechanic and  jack of all trades and is in charge of everything from maintaining the vehicle and equipment fleets, keeping the yard and shop organized, caring for the nursery, to just about anything else that is thrown at him. He is absolutely one of the best small engine mechanics in the area. Paul lives in Waynesboro with his wife.
